Well, I thought about Yii 1.1.5 or 1.2 something :)

I guess that Yii 2.0 will be released in a future and it is hard to say when :)

Probably, 2.0 will be the next version.

If enough issues will be solved… maybe we will have Yii 1.1.5…

Dec 2011… wow, we’ll have to wait a long time. At least most people (and hosting) would have move from php 5.2 to 5.3 by then.

Yeah, my hosting provider still uses PHP 5.2.x, too bad. I think the problem is that there could be backward compatibility issues, so they keep 5.2.x to avoid complaints like “my xxxxx blog doesn’t work anymore” etc.

In the meantime there should probably be a 1.2 release.

Could it be that the year for Yii 2.0 on the download page is wrong?

Should it say "The earliest possible 2.0 alpha release may be in Dec 2010, but we cannot guarantee it."?

I think Yii 2.0 will be the next major release which i would not expect this year :). Do not confuse that with the 1.1.x minor releases. There will surely be more of them before we see 2.0.
