205th! I’m not using Netbeans but for my love for yii, I downloaded Netbeans, installed it on my computer and tried it. I’m using Zend for my entire programming life, and I must say that Netbeans is much faster. I’m still trying to get familiar with my new IDE, but of course I’ll get used to it just like I got used to wearing an underwear ![]()
I dont know what just happened, but suddenly Netbeans ran like 5x slower than Zend
I tried to open my existing project then boom…almost made my computer hang
If I won’t be able to fix this soon, then I’ll go back to Zend 5.5…
I don’t regret voting for Yii as one of Netbeans supported framework though ![]()
Usually it is slow the first time it indexes your project…
Also you can exclude folders with a lot of files from your project settings so that it will scan only folders that are important to you. For example you could exclude the assets folder… ![]()
bye,
Giovanni.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll start getting used to Netbeans as a preparation for its Yii support ![]()
Hey guys, Netbeans is requesting some information on how to set up Yii (so that they can work on adding support for Yii within Netbeans):
