Open source Disqus style platform?

Hi,

I’ve been looking at using disqus on one of my sites. I’m not entirely comfortable using a 3rd party platform for hosting something so fundamental as discussions - and I don’t like the lack of flexibility either.

Does anyone know of any open source platforms that provide an out of the box commenting/discussion system that can be integrated into yii? It’s such a common requirement that building it over and over again just seems daft.

I’ve searched for precisely this. I don’t think one exists yet, but the diaspora project will almost certainly allow this capability…
