Every translator know that when Yii has a upgrade, Qiang will email us to update yiidoc’s translation. It means the document will be updated when Yii framework upgrade. And, I feel the command line mode is not convenient.
So, I built a site ( http://yiidoc.org ). It can display the latest translation and the status of every topic. In the bottom of topic content, a message will show whether the translation is up to date.
I hop it can bring some help.
we have some problem in yii doc guide pdf format some string is destroyed and I don’t know why no one don’t fix it.

This is a very serious problem but I am not an official team member. I’m sorry I can’t help you.
It’s better write email to Qiang or submit a issue in yiidoc project page. Here is the link: http://code.google.com/p/yiidoc/issues/entry
I fixed that and some more I found… nobody fixed them probably because the dev team do not use the PDF version but the online… so if nobody let’s us know there are errors we cannot fix them.

NOTE: even as I fixed the documentation the PDF remains the same until the next Yii version release as only then the documentation is regenerated
