Yii Framework

I have been looking up PHP frameworks and tried out a few before even hearing of Yii.

I tried the Zend Framework and CakePHP but my eyes are still open to others. I want to start a project and when I start it I don't want to be switching frameworks or the project will eventually end up in the bin!

Can the Yii Framework support large, large sites?

I believe so.  The other framework I tried is CakePHP, which is much much more strict with things (conventions, etc), and thus much less extensible.  Yii allows you to easily extend pretty much any of it's core components pretty easily.

and performance, check out the comparison chart.

Thanks.

P.s I read your blog if you’re the same “Jonas”. Nice info :)

So far it has support our CMS we are developing, the caching really helps on the html side of things.

Qiang is excellent at adding new functionality in an extensible way. In my opinion Yii raises PHP from the grave it is digging.
