We have created IP2Location Yii Extension which get geolocation data from IP address. It is supported in both Yii version 1.x and version 2.x. This extension use IP2Location BIN database to lookup visitor geographical location by their IP address. IP address can be translated easily into country code, country name, region name, city name, latitude & longitude, time zone, usage type and so on.

We are writing this post in forum so that we can add our extension to the repository.

Just go to the http://www.yiiframework.com/extensions/ and do it yourself.

We are unable to do so. It says we are too new to add extension to the repository.
