Yii Best Practice For Image Galleries

Hi folks,

I am looking to build a lightbox image gallery for a photography website.

Could someone please recommend best practice on doing this. For starters, is image resizing for thumbnails generally best done the traditional way (actually resizing an image via a graphics package), or on the fly?

If I am not mistaken there is ext for image gallery you get all this stull out of the box just take a look at the ext.
