Yii 2.1 - any timeline?

There have been remarks to Yii version 2.1 in some release notes.

But I searched and did not find basic information about the planned release:

  • Features

  • Timeline (broad)

Any hints?

I think I remember a post where it was scrapped in favor of Yii3. This does not show that but mentions Yii3 I guess.

That is the rough idea, there are already some things that are going to be different from what you find on that page. We are currently experimenting with splitting the framework into multiple repositories. I expect this to be done at the end of this month. We will write a detailed announcement, when we have set the plan for Yii 3.0.

There is not going to be a version 2.1, we are going to go for 3.0 directly.
