Yii 1.1.13 Rc (Release Candidate)

Since the last release (Yii 1.1.12), we have accumulated 31 bug fixes, 39 enhancements and 6 updates. It’s time for us to prepare for the next release: Yii 1.1.13.

As it happened few times in the past that bugs where discovered immediately after a new release we decided to start with a new release practice that hopefully will give much better and stable releases.

On Dec 2, 2012. we will make a Yii 1.1.13 RC (Release Candidate)!

If you have anything that you prefer to be included in this upcoming new release, please submit your pull requests before this date.

After the RC version and before GA (general available) version is released, we will only accept pull requests that fix bugs found in the RC version. No new features or enhancements would be accepted until after GA is released.

Please help us thoroughly test the GA version so that we can get a stable release with good quality. The earlier we know of possible bugs, the better for the developers and the community.

Thank you for your support!

No fear of patchbombs and featurestorms?

That is the point of this announcement :D

If someone wants an issue to be fixed for this release or has an idea on how to fix an issue or has a greate new feature idea -> let us now, create a new issue, comment on existing issues, send pull requests (PR)

This way we will know on which issues to concentrate most…

Yeah well, I’m still in hope my CHttpClient will make it into v1.1.13. Sadly, I cannot spend as much time on it as I’d like atm, so my only chance would be to massively strip down its functionality. Nevertheless, it’ll be quite an impact: That branch is weighing 50+ commits now and introduces about 1,000 lines of code
