We are proud to announce that the first release of Yii is available for downloading. Since this is still an alpha version, be cautious that it may be subject to significant changes before the final release.
Yii is a high-performance programming framework for developing Web applications in PHP 5. The project was initiated in January 2008 and has been actively developed since then. It absorbed many excellent ideas and designs from well-known frameworks and applications. And as of today, we believe that the framework has reached the quality of being released to public.
As the slogan says, Yii is easy, efficient and extensible. We hope your really feel this way and enjoy using it.
