which model directory to use

Hi , previously in the yii 1.x.x version, we only have one model directory. Now in Yii2.x.x, we have two model directories in the advance package. One is in the frontend , and one in the backend, which one should I use let’s say I’ll use the framework for building APIs for an application that has both web and mobile version?

There is also ‘common’ for models used in frontend and backend. So you can create 4th called ‘api’.
