Virtual Appliance can't yiic

I am testing Virtual Appliance on VMWare. It works well, but just for app demonstration, not development demonstration (yiic does’t work).

Yiic working in Virtual Appliance should be useful for trainings, my case.

Is there a way to use it?

yiic sort of works in the appliance, but its has some sort of buffering in the output. The command line PHP is actually the cgi interface. I will work on fixing this and release a better image. I’m try to get mysql working.

Also, I found out a problem with yiic shell

If I do:

yiic webapp /www/web/newapp

yicc webapp /www/web/newapp/index.php

It will return the following error:
