The Server Requested Authentication Method Unknown To The Client [Mysql_Old_Password]

i build a website on a server. Everything was ok till i moved to another server.

There i get the following message:

PDO::__construct(): The server requested authentication method unknown to the client [mysql_old_password]

the new server has:

php 5.4

mysql 5.5.3

old password = 1 is set

what could it be?

This is a problem with mysql versions… for this kind of problems just google the error message… google knows ;)
