The best way to save many to many relationships?

I am new to Yii framework. I found this post about saving many to many relationships in 1.0.x. Qiang replied that "In 1.1.x, we will enhance the support for MM relationships".

So I am wondering if Yii 1.1.x can saving MM relationships automatically like some other frameworks? And what’s the best way to save MM relationships? Thanks in advance.

I think support for automagical saving of MM models will be available from 1.1.3. At moment there are few extensions to do that.
