Reporting

Hi,

I’m about to start down the long, dusty road of reports. Just wondering if you have any tips or tutorials you’d like to share.

  • 1st report is a basic sales report by item. Similar to: 3114

  • 2nd report is a time-sheet report: Similar to: 3115

My initial idea is a CListView with a CDetailView embedded in each _view. Can you foresee any problems with this? Any other ideas?

I did find this awesome tutorial on complex GridViews. Anybody used it for displaying sums of related models? Ex. Grouping sales by product for a time period.

I will post back my findings.
