I recently launched a peer to peer rental marketplace available in USA and Canada called Rentything.com
It is a single page application that is powered by Yii in the backend and backbone in the front, using Bootstrap as the UI toolkit. Yii and backbone work very well together and I was quite happy with the stack. It also uses Stripe Connect for payments and segment.io for analytics. I would be happy to answer any questions that you might have such as which extensions/modules I used.
