Protect/Hide my sourcecode

Hi all,

Is there any way so that I can provide to my customers a Yii applications (or any other php application) without giving access to the sourcecode?

I don’t want to use the obfuscation solutions.

You can host your applications yourself.

I must host it in the server of my customers.

Does the obfuscated solution gives a good result? The free solution is not satisfactory. And I think also that we can reverse the source code.

And finally, the antivirus reports the files as a suspect.

There’s really nothing to do about that issue?

Can we tell that this issue is considered as a disadvantage of the web development?
