PHP Framework Interoperability Group

Hello,

This is more about the development team of Yii Framework. So what is PHP Framework Interoperability Group ?

The idea behind the group is for project representatives to talk about the commonalities between our projects and find ways we can work together. Our main audience is each other, but we’re very aware that the rest of the PHP community is watching. If other folks want to adopt what we’re doing, that’s cool, but it’s not what we’re focused on.

Most of PHP framework ( not to say all ) are participating in this movement, from Symfony all the way “down” to Joomla, pphBB etc. Although I don’t see CodeIgniter, Fuel etc.

I have not dig to much on this (like how is behind this or whatever) but from first sight I think Yii could/should participate too.

If not I would like to know the reasons Yii is not participating in this? Lack of time? etc…
