My attempt to explain SOLID principles in simple words:

SOLID

SOLID is a set of principles that you should follow if you want to get pure object oriented code which is easy to test and extend.

These stand for:

- [Single responsibility](#single-responsibility)
- [Open-closed](#open-closed)
- [Liskov substitution](#liskov-substitution)
- [Interface segregation](#interface-segregation)
- [Dependency inversion](#dependency-inversion)

Let's check what these mean.

A class should be responsible for a single task.

Do you have some example to use SOLID principles in Yii Framework? It would be nice to have a SOLID project template, near to basic/advanced/micro.

They’re everywhere. Yii follows SOLID here and there but in many places goes against it. SOLID is a set of good advices but if you know what you’re doing you can not follow em in some cases.
