In case you are not aware of it there is a book coming out at the end of August 2010 called ‘Agile Web Application Development with Yii1.1 and PHP5’.

Hmm, I hadn’t seen that one before.

Quite informative - nice use of ajax without using inbuilt options like cgridview.
