Is there a Yii version available without all kind of whistles and bells? I mean all kind of unneeded txt’s and especially the unneeded language files. I’m developing sites where I need only the core of the framework, this means FormModel, Controller, ActiveRecord, sometimes a grid, captcha and some widgets. These sites will be never translated to other languages, in fact they will run only in one language.
The main problem is ftp synchronization, copy very often hangs due to a lot of small files.
But when the app is live, sync’ing is generally ok as you don’t really update lots of files generally…
