I have very old (10 years back) complex application developed using Yii 1.1.19. And now want to migrate to latest version.
But as per analysis there is no tool available which helps to migrate easy and fast. Also 4 out of 10 lines need to be updated.
If any one performed such migration . Please guide me.
yes yii 2 is totally different.
one need to really see if there is any benefit before trying such a migration.
i gave up couple of years back.
I can help you in this. it will take some time but we can migrate them easily.
With Yii3 in dev, I wonder, if you’re going to upgrade, why not wait and upgrade to the latest?
I also agree with cyrilcourtney, as to evaluating the ROI on whether it is beneficial to perform such an upgrade (work to upgrade vs. benefits you’ll gain).
