Here’s one of my latest projects developed with Yii: libreriamedicamurciana.es
It doesn’t uses a local DB, because it’s externalized at the physical local library.
For the management it uses a server called homero with Hydra Gateway. This server is specific for library business, it has its own management system, so the website has few mysql tables for very specific tasks.
