[color=#1C2837][size=2]I have read the section in Yii guide about Combining and Minimizing js/css Files, and my question is,since every page request uses a different set of css/js assets,am I wrong to think that someone needs file merging and script mapping for EVERY page in an application? This sounds quite a laborous to me,specially If someone uses so many widgets and extensions, how can he keep track of all of them,in every page?I will appreciate any enlightening comment on this. That is not a reason to post the same question again and again…
Note that this is not a support system, and not every post NEED to be answered… it’s a forum where users share ideas and experience…
If you don’t get any answer maybe nobody had the same problem… or someone that had same problem did not login to the forum at that time… or did just skip your post… or your post is not clear…
There can be many reasons…
If you don’t get any answer a good “forum” behavior would be to post on the same thread and just writing something like “nobody has any ideas”… or if you think a better way to explain your needs to describe better your problem…this will “bump” your post to the top so it’s more readable…
Why is it such a big deal?Posts sink down on the list so quickly anyway,so it’s not like posting the question again would hurt anybody.Usually posting the question again increases the chances that the right person will see it and answer it (I have done this before and got an answer in my second post).
I have left the account incident behind. Can you?Cause I feel I am targeted here for no reason.
Why do you think you are targeted and why creating a new account?
Do you think that with a new account I will not advise you to not make duplicate posts?
Whenever I see a duplicate post I advise the author to not do it in the future… you can see it in the forum on other posts…
You have to consider users that will came to this forum in the future… they will search for a similar problem… and get “many” posts that are exactly the same and “maybe” not answered and not helpful… that’s the main reason why it’s not good to post the same post more then once… as I wrote you before… if you answer to your post it will get to the top… and maybe the right person will spot it then…
And please think and try to understand this situation:
if everybody would make a second post when they don’t get a response they want… how would look this forum…
I really hope you don’t think that I’m targeting you… I just want to keep this forum clean so all users can enjoy it…
Let’s continue the discussion in the post indicated by mdomba.
About duplicated post, the next time instead of start a new thresd, just add a new post in the old thread "bump", bringing up my post, so none will get angry
