I am trying to use captchaExtended for Yii 1.1.x extension in my Yii2 app. I’ve been trying to fix this all night till i fell off. I need it since it has the best interface so far on Yii. Or if anyone can show better captcha than the one shipped with Yii2. Advance Thanks.
As far as I understand, there’s no compatibility between Yii 2 and an extension for Yii 1.x.
But I could say from my experience that converting an captcha extension for Yii 1.x to that for Yii 2.0 is not very complicated. It’s rather a simple task, because the base captcha for Yii 2.0 is not very different form the one for Yii 1.x.
You may contact the author of the “captchaExtended” to ask the conversion. Or, even better, you could do it for yourself and for the people who need it. That’s what you are in the open source community for, isn’t it?
