Hello guys,
I am quite new to Yii and I am feeling very enthusiastic about this framework. Feels like it joins all the good things of other famous frameworks.
I have to build a project which I would like to use Yii. However, there is some big issues I have to deal with. My client has a fleet management software which runs on a MS SQL database and he asked me to make an on-line WebApp using that database. Since that DB is being used by another software and it already has all the information about users authentication, pages, content, etc…I would like to know if it is possible to make this app based on Yii. If it is, could you advice me on the best way to do it?
I will have to output a lot of information into an open source map as well, did any of you ever did something similar here?
