How can i convince my Team Lead to move to Yii instead of codeigniter.

I am new in a company, and they currently using codeigniter and it seems the development is not to fast as i expected, so I am planning to suggest yii instead of codeigniter. Please help, what are the things i should do.

write small usefull intranet apps after work (20min every day or at home)

organize workshops for introducing yii

blog about the advantages using yii over ci

It also depends on your team. Who they are, what they do best, how they prefer to work.

Maybe CodeIgniter suits the team better than Yii?

CI is lower level than Yii, so you would be more productive using Yii - from the outset.

Maybe you could agree on using Yii for one project?

And then evaluate?

After you’ve made some presentations/screencasts/essays/whatever about it.
