Don’t exactly understand your problem.
Have you set up your server either via httpd or htaccess?

Yes, I do have .htaccess. I downloaded a newer version of Yii and the problem didn’t occur.
Before, by adding urlManager to my web.php, Yii debug module rendered the exact content of my site/index on my homepage again
