First, I’m sorry for my English. I’ve a few moths using Yii and now I’m trying make one full-text search functionality with Sphinx. I’ve seen the DGSphinxSearch component, but I’m a little confused. Is it necessary setting up “data source”, “sphinx”, the main request… in the sphinx.conf file? If so, where is must locate?
Furthermore, the sphinx client of DGSphinxSearch is very old. I’ve overwritten it with the new, Will it continue working anyway? Perhaps is better I work with Sphinx pure.
