Developer productivity in Yii 2.0

Hi,

I have found Yii to be a powerful language for it can increase the developers productivity many fold. However there are certain features I was hoping for in Yii2 which were being supplemented via giix for Yii 1. Example

[*]Crud generating auto dropdowns/checkbox for many to many, one to many relations.

[*]Save many to many(savewithrelated)

[/list]

Any thoughts on how we could move ahead with such features in Yii2 ? Any guidance much appreciated.
