I’ve been a PHP developer for more than 4 years now and haven’t used a framework before to develop application. I decided to try one and decided with YII after a lot of research online.
As a way to learn it, I decided to start a project that uses the framework, and the product is CatPictures.cc
My experience was really awesome. Developing with Yii is really easy, learning to use it was a would say fairly easy, thanks to the very well written documentation and tutorials from this site and Larry Ullman’s.
