Nice application!
There is my suggestion for your project - do it more international, some features are simple to implement, especially with Yii.
As I think utf-8 is not supported by the DB - after page refresh I got question marks instead of letters.
My weeks starts on Monday, I’m living 24 hours a day without fixed midday These would be changed in the user settings section which, I hope, is coming soon.
P. S. this is not your fault, but time zone selector in the registration form http://www.timepanther.com/user/create/yii is a bit fun - only conflict zones and hot spots for GMT+2 and nothing about quiescent European states http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UTC%2B02:00#Eastern_European_Time_-_Territories_observing_European_Union_DST_rules

Thanks for the feedback. I just converted the database to UTF8, so international letters should now work, even after page refresh.
I’ll definitely add the option to change the first day of the week. I was just waiting for someone to ask for the feature first.
As for the timezones, I’m not sure what to do. I’m not an expert with them… I just used a list I found somewhere on the internet, that translates different options to their PHP string equivalent: http://php.net/manual/en/timezones.php Any ideas?
Hey jonah,
I’d highly recommend you to sign up a free account for freshbooks and take some of their ideas to help the future development of your app. Overall, great product and it certainly has a lot of potentials. Good job!
@Big H
I’ve definitely tried freshbooks before. However, freshbooks is more of an accounting app, with time tracking capabilities that I believe to be lacking. TimePanther is focusing on time tracking, with only simple accounting features (yet decently powerful). It should probably have a slightly different audience.
BTW, I have just did a semi-large update. Update includes: UI overhaul for expandable panels, and new history view modes (history by day, and less/more detail modes). If things look funny, hit refresh to clear the browser cache
